Humans are visual beings by nature, and we all have preferences. Green means go. Little boys prefer blue, and most young girls prefer pink. Everyone knows that red means stop, green means go, and yellow means to be cautious. Does this mean red should never be used on a web site. Of course not. However, choosing a color palette that is "liked" by your core demographic is absolutely critical for your web site. The right, or wrong, colors can easily make as much as 40% difference in key stats like bounce and conversion rates.
